In the final game of in group b of AFC Champion League Air Force club losses to Mumbai City FC by 1-0 at the King Fahd International stadium on Tuesday.
After the win Mumbai's points tally rise to seven, highest ever by any Indian team in this league.
Buckingham made three changes in the team, Mandar Rao Dessai, Igor Angulo and Raynier Fernandes were replaced by Vignesh D, Diego Mauricio and Vikram Pratap in this changes.
After 24th minutes of the game first substitution came. Vikram Partap subbed by Brad Inman.
Islanders score the first score in next five minutes.
With some refereeing controversy the first half on the game ended in a heated fashion.
An Air Force player was fouled at the edge of the box by Mourtada Fall and the referee blew the whistle.
In the meantime the ball headed into the Mumbai's goal. At first referee awarded the goal despite that the whistle was blown by referee.
But after strong opposition by islanders referee rescinded the decision and gave a free kick to Air Force and Mourtada Fall was shown yellow card for the foul.
At the starting of the 2nd half Safaa made a bad challenge on Apuia.
Air Force Club tried desperately to level the game. But they failed against Mumbai's defense.
In the end of the game Mumbai beats Air Force Club by 1-0.
With this victory Mumbai City FC secured 2nd place in group b of the AFC Champion League with 7 points.
