After a custodial death of a 25 years old Chennai man Tamil Nadu's Director General of Police (DGP) ordered the suspension against a sub-inspector, a constable and a home guard on Saturday.

The case was handed over to the Crime Branch Criminal Investigation Department(CB-CID) on Friday.

On April 20 the 25-year old Vignesh died after suffering seizures and started vomiting while in police custody. Later He was then taken to the hospital but the doctors declared that he was dead.

Vignesh and Ramesh were arrested by police after they were caught travelling in an autorickshaw with ganja in their possession. Officials said that both of them had injury marks on their faces and possessed a knife as well. They even tried to flee when police tried to arrest them.

After they were taken to the Police station, Vigensh developed seizures and started vomiting. Then he was taken to the hospital. Vignesh’s post-mortem was done at the Government Kilpauk Medical College on Wednesday. Later the body was handed over to Vignesh's family.
