As per Education Minister of Uttarakhand Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat statement that state Govt. of Uttarakhand is considering to include Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads and Gita in school syllabus under the new education policy.
Education minister said they will take suggestions form the states people before including Indian knowledge and tradition books in the school syllabus as per new education policy. Govt. will arrange a meeting on May 2 with department officers to discuss and prepare the school syllabus as per the new education policy.
Education Rawat said parents should also be made aware to provide psychological counseling to the students before any examination. They have to told that exam is festival of education and they should celebrate exams as a festival point of view. There for students will never feel any pressure about the exams. Monthly exams will conduct to prepare the students before there annual examination.
The Minister also said a that Parent-Teacher Association has to made compulsorily in every school to tell the parents how they should treat their children. Commission for Protection of Child Rights will form a committee to solve all complaints regarding schools.
Dr. Geeta Khanna Chairperson of Uttarakhand Commission for Protection of Child Rights stated that various programs will be organized by schools in this new policy to make the students aware about their life, society and their rights.
